A brief History
Nasi Goreng means fried rice. Commonly known as the national meal of Indonesia, it has tingled tastebuds across the world. The wholesome meal has different versions as many as 100. Here, at Mustake, we present Nasi Goreng(prawns). In this version, prawns in fried rice cooked in Indonesian style.
Nasi Goreng is spicier than other Asian fried rice recipes. It is widely popular across Indonesia and neighbouring Malaysia. It is distinctive in flavour because of the use of kecap manis (sweet soy sauce) that creates the attractive golden brownish colour.
Back in Indonesia, it is often eaten as a breakfast. For others, the meal might feel too heavy. But the taste makes you gulp it down easily.
It is so wholesome that it hardly needs an accompaniment. However, Papaya juice is a good combo.
