Bang Bang Beef
A Chinese dish that has been handed down over generations, Bang Bang Beef follows the same method as the more popular Bang Bang Chicken. Traditionally the recipe was served in China by street vendors in the Szechuan province. The dish gets its name because of the pounding action on the chicken/beef to make it into shreds. The sound made is like ‘bang bang’. It is done with a small stick or baton called bon and thus the other name Bon Bon beef.
